Welcome to my blog. As a local State Emergency Services volunteer, I am pleased to help families save their entire home and belongings by doing makeshift repairs or using tarpaulins. Unfortunately, I also see many heartbreaking cases in which families lose everything. If a cyclone or flood is severe enough, there is little we can do to fight the forces of nature. However, in too many situations, people have neglected to take care of their roof. Few people think about the consequences of having all their belongings exposed to the elements. Loose tiles and rusty sheeting are easily overlooked and considered too expensive to replace. If you think about the logistics of replacing everything you own, the cost pales into insignificance. I encourage you to have your roof professionally examined and repaired on a regular basis. It makes my job easier and may save you a lot of stress.
